How to Accept or Decline a Booking Request?

  1. Log in to Your iknowly Account:
    1. Ensure you are logged into your iKnowly mentor account.
  2. Go to the 'My iknowly' Tab:
    1. Once logged in, navigate to the My iknowly tab from your dashboard. This tab is where you can manage your account settings, availability, and session requests.
  3. Access Sessions:
    1. Under the My iknowly tab, locate and click on Sessions tab. Here, you will find all information related to your upcoming sessions, including those that need your attention.
  4. Review Incoming Session Requests:
    1. In the Sessions tab section, you will see a list of upcoming sessions and new requests that need to be confirmed or declined. Each request will display:
      1. The user's name.
      2. The requested date and time of the mentorship.
      3. The mentorship type (15-minute, 30-minute, or 60-minute session).
      4. Any additional notes or information provided by the mentee.
  5. Confirm or Decline the Session Request:
    1. To Accept:
      1. If the requested time is suitable for you, click on 'Accept'. Once accepted, the session will be confirmed and automatically added to your calendar, and the mentee will be notified of the confirmation via email.
      2. To Decline:
        1. If you are unavailable or the timing does not work for you, click on 'Decline'. By declining, the mentee will be notified that their request was not accepted, and the booking will be canceled.
  6. Confirmation Rules:
    1. Upon accepting a session request, you are committing to attend at the specified time. Make sure your availability is accurate.
    2. You must confirm the session at least 24 hours before the scheduled time to ensure the booking goes through smoothly.
    3. If you decline a request, please ensure you inform the mentee at your earliest convenience, so they can reschedule if necessary.

By managing your sessions effectively in the Sessions tab, you can maintain a smooth scheduling process and offer mentees a responsive and professional experience.
