How Do I Record and Upload a Video to iknowly?
At iknowly, consultants have the option to add a 3-minute introduction video to showcase their expertise, experience, and services. This helps potential clients get a better understanding of your skills and personality before booking a consultation.
There are two ways to upload your introduction video:
Option 1: Upload During the Application Process
If you are in the process of becoming a consultant, you can upload your video directly through the application stepper.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Start Your Application:
- Go to the iKnowly Consultant Application page.
- Complete the necessary fields, including personal information, professional experience, and services offered.
- Record or Upload Your Video:
- In the "Introduction Video" section, you will see an option to upload a video file.
- Click Upload Video and select your pre-recorded file from your device.
- Review & Submit:
- Ensure that your video meets the quality and content guidelines (see below).
- Click Next to proceed and complete your application.
- Approval Process:
- Your application, including your video, will be reviewed by the iknowly support team within 48 hours.
- Once approved, your profile will be activated, and your video will be displayed on your consultant profile.
Option 2: Upload After Approval
If you have already been approved as a consultant but did not upload a video during the application process, you can add one later through your Profile settings.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Log into Your iknowly Account:
- Visit the iknowly website and Log in with your consultant credentials.
- Go to the "My iknowly" Section:
- Click on the My iknowly tab in the top navigation bar.
- Navigate to Profile Settings:
- In the menu, select Profile → Profile Details.
- Upload Your Video:
- Look for the Introduction Video section.
- Click Upload Video and select a file from your device.
- Save Changes:
- Once the upload is complete, click Save to apply the changes.
- Your video will be reviewed before it appears on your profile.
Video Guidelines and Requirements
To ensure the best quality and engagement, follow these guidelines when recording your introduction video:
1. Video Length & Format
✔ Maximum 3 minutes long.
✔ Format: MP4, MOV, or AVI.
✔ Resolution: Minimum 720p HD (1080p recommended).
2. Video Content
✔ Start by introducing yourself (name, industry, expertise).
✔ Highlight your professional background and key achievements.
✔ Explain how your consultations can benefit clients.
✔ End with a friendly and professional closing.
3. Recording Tips
✔ Use good lighting (natural or ring light) for clear visibility.
✔ Ensure a quiet background with minimal noise.
✔ Use a clear and confident voice.
✔ Position your camera at eye level.
✔ Wear professional or business casual attire.
Where Will the Video Be Uploaded?
- iknowly will host your video on YouTube and embed it in your profile.
- This ensures high-quality playback and accessibility for clients.
