What Happens After My Consultant Profile is Approved?
Once your application is approved, you will receive an email notification confirming your acceptance as a consultant on iknowly. At this stage, you can finalize your profile, set your availability, and start receiving bookings. Below are the next steps in detail:
1. Setting Your Availability
After approval, you need to define your available time slots so clients can book consultations with you.
- Access Your Calendar: Log in to your iknowly consultant account and navigate to the Availability Settings section.
- Set Your Working Hours: Go to the Availability section under the iknowly tab and select the days and times you're available for consultations.
- Flexible Scheduling: You can adjust your Availability at any time to accommodate your personal or professional schedule.
- Real-Time Updates: Consultees will only see and book available slots, ensuring no conflicts or double bookings.
2. Creating a Video Introduction (Optional, Max 3 Minutes)
To increase engagement and credibility, consultants can upload a short video (up to 3 minutes) introducing themselves.

- Builds trust and personal connection before a session.
- Increases your chances of getting booked.

- Brief Introduction: Your name, industry, and years of experience.

- Your Consultation Approach: What clients can expect in a session with you.
- Call to Action: Encourage clients to book a session with you.
- Technical Guidelines
- Keep it professional and well-lit.
- Ensure clear audio and video quality.
- Upload the video in the supported formats (MP4, MOV).
3. Updating Your Profile
After approval, make sure your profile is fully optimized:
- Profile Picture: Upload a high-quality, professional photo.
- Professional Bio: Clearly describe your background, skills, and services.
- Services & Pricing: Set your consultation rates based on your expertise.
- Languages Spoken: Mention the languages you can conduct sessions in.
4. Receiving and Managing Bookings
Once your profile is live, Consultees can start booking sessions with you.
- Booking Requests: You'll receive a notification when a client requests a session.
- Response Time: If a session is scheduled more than 48 hours in advance, you must accept or decline the booking within 24 hours.
- If the session is scheduled between 24-48 hours from the session time, you have 12 hours to accept.
- If you do not respond within the time limit, the session will be automatically canceled, and the Consultee will not be charged.
- Session Confirmation: Once you accept a booking, the session is confirmed, and both parties receive an email confirmation.
- Calendar Sync: Add confirmed sessions to your personal calendar for easy tracking.
